“I don’t have time to pray today.” Yep, I said this. Out loud. Once a month I meet with other women to pray for our adult children. We’ve been gathering for seven years. Today was the day. But this morning, I didn’t have time to pray.

Wonderful thoughts Ms. Lori. While I can't claim to sit down at one time (usually early each morning before my day starts) and pray out everything I need to pray about. I do sit that time aside for God. I pray during my "God time" each morning, but I'm finding that I spend more time in prayer as I go about my day. Driving to town... pray. Feeding the livestock... pray. Pausing to down a cup of coffee before the next teleconference, meeting, or writing assignment... pray. It seems that as my day progresses, I find new things to pray about. I bet you to also ma'am.
I agree, J.D., which , I think, is what Scripture means when it says, "Pray without ceasing." Prayer is supposed to be an ongoing conversation that never ends, all day, every day. Pray on, friend!
I agree, Melissa. I had a friend once say, "I don't think the circumstances of my day would have changed if I hadn't skipped my prayer time this morning, but I think I would have handled them better." Thanks for sharing your thoughts :)

DeleteMy day is truly much more at ease and peaceful when I share time with Him first. :-)
