A Few of My Favorite Things

I'm celebrating my birthday by sharing with you a few of my favorite things!

Warm puppies' bellies and sunshine in springtime.
Sweet daughters' laughter and walks in the wood pine.
Tiffany's petit fours tied up with string,
These are a few of my favorite things.

Lavender lilacs and toasted marshmallows,
Napping with Hubby's dear head on my pillow.
Phone calls and emails and texts from my friends
These are a few of my favorite things.

Edisto breezes and Carolina mountains,
Hummus on crackers, Diet Coke from a fountain.
Reach Out, Columbia hot off the press.
These are a few of my favorite things.

When my heart aches,
When the car breaks,
When I'm feeling sad. . .
I simply remember my favorite things,
and then I don't feel so bad.

What are some of your favorite things? I'd love to know. . . leave a comment below and join in the conversation. If you're reading via email, CLICK HERE to comment.

  1. Wow, this is fun! Well, God and my sweet family, of course (and now I'm getting a daughter since my son is engaged!). Chocolate, popcorn, the smell of my lilac tree, (note the food comes first, lol!), books....always books! And some toasty sunshine in the summer but not too hot, lol!

Also, "Making Your Home Sing Monday" linky party is live and waiting for your posts! :)
