Joy in the Journey and Lori Hatcher visit Speak Up! Radio

Today is an exciting day in my ministry!

Those of you who have followed Be Not Weary from its inception know that the idea for my devotional book, Joy in the Journey ~ Encouragement for Homeschooling Moms, was born at the Christian Devotions Boot Camp writer's conference in February of 2011.

A year later, at the 2012 Boot Camp conference, I was blessed to enjoy the music of two talented homeschooled young men, Nolan and Cameron McCausey, who led our worship time. As I introduced myself to their parents, Scott and Renee, I mentioned I had written a devotional for homeschooling moms and wanted to send them a copy. "I know that homeschooling teenagers is like a roller coaster ride," I said, "great fun and terrifying all at the same time. But homeschooling my daughters was one of the greatest joys of my life, and I want to encourage you to press on in faith."

As we talked a bit about homeschooling, Scott mentioned that he was the radio anchor for Christian Devotion's SPEAK UP! internet radio show. "I'd like to have you on the show to talk about your homeschooling journey and  your book," he said.

I agreed, and today's the day!

At 6 p.m. EST, I'd love for you to listen in on our conversation. We'll talk about faith, family, and God's goodness. Whether you homeschool your children or not, there will be something for everyone.

If you're not familiar with internet radio, simply CLICK HERE , which will take you to the SPEAK UP! radio page. Then scroll down & click on the Blog Talk Radio box, be sure you're speakers are turned up, and enjoy the show.

If you're unable to listen between 6 and 7 EST, the show will be archived on the page, and you can listen to it at any time. It will also be re-aired on Saturday at 10 am. Please tune in!

If you have a chance to listen, please leave a comment on my page to tell me what you thought about the show.

If you know someone who homeschools, or is considering homeschooling, please encourage them to listen in. If they don't know about Joy in the Journey, would you tell them about it, or better yet, purchase a copy for them? Perhaps it might be just the encouragement they need to begin the new school year with JOY!

Finally, would you pray that I will represent the Lord Jesus Christ with winsomeness and grace? That he has accomplished anything through me is a testimony to his inspiration, empowerment, and love, and I want him to shine.

Thank you for your prayers. I love you, dear sisters and brothers in Christ!

Lori
