BNW Welcomes its 100th Subscriber!

My favorite editor once said, "Only use exclamation points if someone is shrieking, which won't be often." Today I used an exclamation point in the title of this post because, while not shrieking, I am really really happy, and I wanted you to know.

Almost a year ago I published the first post on the Be Not Weary blog. My goal for blogging was to share spiritual lessons with you in hopes that you would be encouraged to "be not weary in doing good, for you will reap a harvest if you do not faint" (Gal. 6:9). I wanted to encourage you to press on. I wanted to encourage you to press hard into Jesus and find your sufficiency there. I wanted to press God's truths into you, knowing that any time God's word is shared, it bears fruit. I wanted to press into your lives, if only for a few minutes twice weekly, and come alongside you in Christian sisterhood and brotherhood to walk the faith walk with you.

Thank you for subscribing to Be Not Weary. Thank you for sharing it with your friends though email and Facebook and Twitter. Thank you for making copies and putting them in your church's prayer room and in your newsletters. Thank you for your notes of encouragement to me. Sometimes writing to an audience I seldom see is lonely, and I wonder if I'm talking to anyone but myself and Mr. Google, wherever he is.

I wanted you to celebrate BNW's 100th subscriber with me, and the one before that, and the one before that, because you helped bring him or her to BNW.

So what's the future of BNW? Only God knows. There's talk of what I've affectionately called My Baby Blog being picked up by a Christian retailer in the southwest and featured on its upcoming homeschooling website. Inspired Women,an emagazine hoping to go to print publishing, has chosen BNW as a featured blog each month. I'm talking to some wonderful ladies in Virginia about doing a ladies' retreat together as a result of the relationships we've built through BNW. And then there's the book. . . but that's another story for another time.

Thank you for helping make BNW shine brightly into our dark world. Please keep forwarding it, sharing it, and telling others about it. It is my prayer that by this time next year, we'll be celebrating with a whole BNW family.

I wish you the abundance of God's love today,

Lori
